Need Contact Lenses?

If it’s contacts you want, we likely have a solution for you!

We have options for nearly everyone and often have diagnostic lenses in your prescription you can wear home the day of your appointment. Our practice has spent the last 30 years focusing on unique and personalized solutions to your visual needs using contact lenses and have 3 specialists in the office: Dr. Doug Herriott, Dr. Laura Nennig and Dr. Alyssa Sherwood who have advanced training to fit even the most difficult cases.

If you’re new to contact lenses, the plethora of options can be overwhelming to choose from. We pride ourselves on ensuring it the best fit for you before we finalize the prescription; only after testing driving the lenses, do we let you purchase them as we want you to be successful.

Our doctors have years of experience working with all types of contacts lenses from the soft bendable ones to all manner of hard lenses. Often people who have been told previously that they couldn’t wear contacts have been successfully fit in our office. Each January, one or more of them attend the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas to stay current with the latest technology.

Wear Specialty Lenses for Keratoconus or Ectasia?

We also use smaller rigid lenses and scleral lenses to treat all kinds of irregular corneal shape issues including keratoconus or post-lasik ectasia (unique shape after having refractive surgery). If you have this and are on our schedule, you’re not alone; we have dozens of patients just like you that we’ve helped.

We take the time to image your eyes and educate you about your condition. Then we followed it with a deepdive into what treatments or lenses will work best for you. Sometimes our patients don’t need anything special and normal glasses or contacts will meet their needs. Other times, treatments like corneal cross linking is explained, or custom lenses are fit. Thankfully, rarely do our patients need anything drastic like a corneal transplant. And if they do, we are here to help you through the process from setting up an appointment with the specialist to following your care for years to come.

Are your contact lenses drying your eyes out?

Dry eye is no longer a barrier to contact lenses wear. Products such as Dailies Total, Precision 1 or Total 30 lenses, have been a game changer in the world of dry eye with Alcon’s water gradient technology and allows those who couldn’t tolerate contacts anymore, hours of clear and comfortable vision. We also work with scleral lenses (larger rigid lenses) to help those with the most severe dryness symptoms maintain comfort throughout the day. If your lenses are dry at the end of the day, you don’t have to suffer anymore!
