Our Story
Our practice’s story begins more than 35 years ago, when Drs. Doug and Mark graduated from optometry school. They knew they wanted to help people see better and lead healthier lives. Serendipity brought them to Lee’s Summit where the practice was established in 1987. Although they outgrew an office or two over the years, they continue working toward that mission of caring about patients.
In 2012, Dr. Laura join our leadership team and helps us stay on the cutting edge of patient care techniques and technology. Dr. Miriam has been with us over 20 years while Dr. Foster, Dr. Deitch and Dr. Pachy are newer additions to our eye care team. The Eyecare Associates team aims to focus on you as a whole person and not just how well you can read a chart.
Each one of our professional staff brings different specialty areas to our practice making Eyecare Associates of Lee’s Summit your first choice for all eye care needs. Want lots of eye care centered education, choose Dr. Pachy; want to know the latest in eye centered skin care and cosmetics, choose Dr. Foster; want contacts but everything you tried didn’t work very well, choose Dr. Laura; want great stories about health and wellness or just airplane, choose Dr. Mark; have kids who are apprehensive about their first eye exam, choose Dr. Miriam.
We want to know you. We’d miss a lot if we didn’t know your passions, aspirations, and interests. Just like a good friend, we can’t serve you best if we don’t understand your life and circumstances. We set out to treat your whole self, and it shows in the conversations you’ll hear if you wander the halls here. Talks about flying Cessna 185s mingle with good reads or the latest travel adventures.
