We’re part of this community, become part of ours

When you choose us for your eye care, you’re not just getting a 20-30 minute visit with our doctor, you’re joining a community of people who share your values. Our office focuses on wellness, education and outcomes. Many of our patients have been with us for years and are our friends and neighbors; literally hundreds of patients have at least 1 of our doctors’ personal cell phone numbers. It’s hard to treat you like a number when we go to the same events, our kids attend the same schools and we shop at the same places you do. Even if we don’t know you from the community, our doctors and staff take the time to get to know you on a personal level to help develop lasting relationships. Then when you do see us out and about, be sure to say hello and we’ll be thrilled to catch up!

Our Eye Care Values: Prevention and Wellness Care

We value your sight as much as you do and during your exam our doctors examine your eyes for many diseases. Diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration can lurk silently for years before they start to affect your vision; by the time you notice them, your vision may have reached an advanced stage that makes successful treatment much more difficult. A comprehensive eye exam at our clinic can reveal even the earliest signs of such problems, giving us the best possible chance to treat them before they impact your vision.

Education: yours and ours

Our doctors spend much of their time with patients educating them about how to prevent diseases in the first place. Be it nutrition for dry eye and macular degeneration, or what cosmetics you should use on and around your eyes, we customize our advice to what you need. We read the studies so you don’t have to!

Our doctors also spend a few weekends a year staying current on the latest technology, techniques and clinical care. We offer a few specialty services that has patients from all over the region visiting us. This includes scleral and hard lens fittings (especially for dry eye and keratoconus patients), cutting edge dry eye treatments, comprehensive knowledge about the best (and worst) eye related skin care and cosmetics, and myopia management.

Outcomes : Changes in your vision or eye health

The eyes change over time in a variety of ways – from needing reading glasses to slow aging changes like cataracts – but your vision should remain pretty good your whole life. Vision screening and other tests can help us find out what is causing your trouble so we can correct it. When something is uncovered, we want to ensure all you focus on is getting well. Our office will coordinate your referral with the recommended specialist, setting appointments and sending exam notes. Our doctors will educate you about what to expect with treatment and often we visit with patients after they see the specialist to review what has happened and confirm all their questions about the process are answered.

The health care system is scary and sometimes doctors or surgeons don’t have enough time to explain everything to you. We pride ourselves on giving you peace of mind that you can ask us any questions at any time during the process and we will take our time to give you the answers you need.
